Was a blessing to have been in the House of our Lord last Sunday. David McDaniel sang our special music in the morning service “Long Black Train” and it was beautiful. Bro. LaVerne Summerlin’s message was “Following Jesus” from Psalm 32:8. Sunday night’s message was “Joy of Responsibility” from Philippians 2:12-18.

The Golden Agers enjoyed lunch last Friday at Cypress Landing. Those attending were Martha Burrow, Bro. LaVerne Summerlin, Jet Easterling, Joan McDaniel, Merri Burrow, Tom Stockwell, Brent Robinson, Emma Stewart, Rose Roberts, Rachel Freeman, visitors, Corey Roberts, Scott Roberts, Dolly Freeman and Donise Pine. All enjoyed good food and wonderful fellowship.

Congratulations to Cory Lynn McDaniel who was accepted into the Honor Society at Parklane Academy.

Silas Myers spent Sunday afternoon with Hunter Craft in McComb. They had so much fun as they played and visited.

John Milton Bond was honored on his 89th Birthday which was Feb. 16. His 5 daughters surprised him with a birthday celebration on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 11 am at his home. Attending were his daughters and families, LaLinda and David Fortenberry, Denise Wilson, Michelle Madison, Betty and Jerry Oltremari of Meridian, Chuck and Jeanne Tate, and family, Abby, Laura, JoAnna, Josh and Sharon and husband Kade Bloom of Ga, David and LaLinda Fortenberry and grandchildren, Lindsey, Lily and Lexi Fortenberry, their son Brandon and wife Brittany and son Denver, Denise Wilson and sons Daniel, and Luke, daughter Lana Weeks and husband Shelby and children, Wilson and Ella Kate, Denise’s daughter-in-law, Anna Wilson and daughter Summer, and Paula Michelle Madison and friend Muguel of Brookhaven, Barry Bond and wife Jamie of Baton Rouge, La., and their daughter Jenna and husband Kevin, Bobby Earl and Sarah Williams, Tammy Wells and daughter Taylor, and Todd Bond of Conroe, Tx. All had a very enjoyable time.

Sympathy is extended to Dr. David Millican and Family in the loss of his precious wife Mrs. Doris Millican last Sunday. Be in prayer for them during this sad time.
