The Town of Terry has announced preliminary plans for the America 250 event. The date will be: Sat., July 11, due to City Officials attending the MML Convention in Biloxi. The day will kick off with a Parade at 10 o'clock, followed by a Fun Extravaganza in the Park at 11 o'clock. There will be vendors, children activities, history and much more.

The June board meeting for the town is Tuesday, June 2 at 7 o'clock in the Community Center. There will be further planning of activities for America 250 one hour prior to board meeting.

The James Foster Chapter of MSSDAR met recently at AnJou Restaurant in Ridgeland. The members officially voted to move the chapter address to the Town of Terry. This is an honor for our town. There will be monthly meetings in the area. The meeting was called to order by the president followed by minutes, treasurers report and committee reports. Attending from the Terry area were: Rooney Davis, Carolyn Clements and Beverly Rodriguez, Associate Member. A delicious lunch was enjoyed by members and guests. Meetings will resume in the Fall.

Reminder of the upcoming dinner/theatre production of "Dearly Departed" by the Friends of Terry. Dates are June 5, 6 and 12 and 13. Please call Sandra Frith for tickets and further information.
