Vacation Bible Schools are just around the corner. First Baptist Church, Terry dates are July 12-16. The theme is "Rain Forest Falls - Exploring the Nature of God.

The Eudora Welty House and Gardens will be offering a workshop on Pressed Flowers on July 16 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The cost is $25 and pre-registration required. Light refreshments will be served .

Decorate a shadow box frame with pressed flowers from the Welty Gardens. You may register on line. America 250 Events in Terry this week: July 4 - Noon Church and garden bells to toll in celebration. (just as it was in Philadelphia in 1776. ) Please join the Terry Historic Committee and Town of Terry on Wednesday, July 8 at 1 o'clock in City Hall for an America 250 ceremony.

Mayor Bruce Hopkins and Monty Wilson will present the entire reading of the Declaration of Independence. Senator Blount will lead the Pledge of Allegiance followed by Denise Davis singing patriotic songs. George Washington is coming to Terry!

(Replica) An unexpected visitor came today. His name is Mike Moss from Crystal Springs. He is the nephew of the Shorty Moss family.

We had a nice visit about years past. He informed me that Elsie Moss Berryhill has moved to a Retirement Home in Brandon. We remember the talented Moss family and their musical abilities.

He stated Elsie is now playing the piano in her new home! We wouldn't expect anything less from Elsie.
