The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) announces the temporary closure of LeFleur's Bluff State Park due to flooding caused by recent heavy rainfall in Central Mississippi. Rising water has created unsafe condi- tions throughout the park, making it neces- sary to close the facility while staff monitor water levels and assess any damage once conditions improve. MDWFP staff are contacting guests with existing reservations regarding cancellations and refunds.
We sincere- ly apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone's patience and under- standing as we work to safely reopen the park. At this time, MDWFP is hopeful that LeFleur's Bluff State Park will reopen soon. However, reopening is entirely dependent on weather conditions, floodwaters receding, and the completion of any necessary safety assessments.
MDWFP will con- tinue to monitor condi- tions and provide updates as they become available. For more infor- mation about Mississippi State Parks, visit www.mdwfp.com/ parks-destinations or call (601) 432-2400. Follow Mississippi State Parks on Facebook or Instagram.
